'The Moments' amidst the chaos has a review on the new and innovative magazine  Urban Edge Magazine. I absolutely loved the article as it reminded me of the opening night and the uber chic crowd that graced me with their presence that night. Thank you to Jana Du Plessis for the amazing review and Martin Venter for the images. The exhibition ends tomorrow , and so my last post will be my second last post for the year.

5 September 2011

One of my favourite blog's , Skattie ,what are you wearing? , Malibongwe Tyilo came through to show support and love at the opening.

Despite his busy schedule , with events lined up everyday that must be attended , he managed to come and take some pictures of the extremely stylish guests that night. It was great finally meeting Mali , and not just bumping into him for a quick snap. He is lovely.  Congratulations on receiving the Marie Claire Fashion Blogger of the year 2011 award. You deserved it!

I met Michelle Oberholzer two years ago, when she was taking street fashion pictures in Long Street. She asked to take a picture of my outfit at the time, and after that our paths just kept on crossing.
She was one of the first guests to arrive at the opening of my exhibition. It was great seeing her again after such a long time. Despite her busy schedule, she managed to spend as much time as possible, viewing the pieces and taking pictures of some of my guests. She captured Anthea Duce, Asanda Sizani, Kwena Baloyi, Sethu Mangcu and Caitlin Hoogervorst's stylish outfits.

Day 127. 27 .08.2011

12:30

The countdown begins…

I haven’t been on the net in these past few days and I apologize for the late updates, however, it if means anything, I have been writing everyday. Due to my lack of Internet access, I haven’t been able to see if 131 days and ‘The moments’ amidst the chaos have had any new features. So I spent my morning looking through my favourite blogs and the net, to catch up on the cyber world, and on the urbanmosadi blog, is a feature of the exhibition.

What I love about this blog is as well as Tiisetso Molobo not only documents her life, but she highlights the mood too. It’s rare that you find photographers who are able to do both extremely well.

Day 110 . 10 .08.2011

21 days left until the opening and so much to do. I took a few street fashion shots for my dear friend and Fashion Editor of ELLE, Asanda Sizani last week Sunday at Cold Turkey. There were so many amazing individuals, who took pride in dressing up for the occasion.  Many of the women were camera shy; however I managed to persuade them into posing for the camera.
I was aware that they would be posted on the blog and I would receive credit for my work, but I didn’t expect the full on feature that was posted. Thank you so much to the ELLE team. You truly made my day

Day 88 . 19 .07.2011

It’s my second day back at school, and I am feeling good about this semester. I am more focus on settling in than trying to do a lot in a short space of time. I know I am a natural at multi-tasking, however I was recently told by a concerned friend that she thinks I over work myself and that I will burn out before November. I found statement hilarious, but I am also aware that her statement might be true. So until I feel settled this week, only then will I continue work for the exhibition.

In my previous posts I spoke about Fashion week and strangely enough didn’t see the need to be snapping away and uploading images. This image below was spotted on the Elle website and next to me is Tshakgi Mannya of Aluxism, who is designing my two garments for the opening of my exhibition. Thank you for the feature Elle.

Day 63 . 24 .06.2011

Hello

Two months ago, Marie Claire’s body columnist Zanele Mji, asked me to document an experiment for her at the Levi’s store at the V&A Waterfront store. The experiment was to prove that the new Levi’s Curve ID™ range had a pair of jeans for every kind of women, and surprisingly it was true.
Check out this link and read more about the range  http://marieclairvoyant.com/in-this-months-issue/calling-all-curves-3

Day 59 . 20 .06.2011

72 days until the opening…

Eeeek!  It’s around the corner.  There are still a few things to be done and organized and considering the fact that I am half way of this process, I really do not have much time left.
A month ago, I was approached by the Brand Manager, Elzine Gawaxab, of L’agence TKN Models, who were interested in featuring me for their weekly ‘Ekapa -Up n Coming Talent”.
